DAP 18.46 (Diammonium Phosphate)
DAP fertilizer contains two essential plant nutrients: phosphorus and nitrogen. With 46% P₂O₅ phosphorus, it is highly valuable for plant growth. Due to its high phosphorus content, DAP fertilizer is recommended for use during the early growth stages of plants. It strengthens root development, enhances flowering, and increases fruit set. It should be applied at sowing or transplanting, either with or before planting, at seed or root depth.
If an adequate amount of DAP fertilizer is not supplied, root development weakens, plants grow poorly, and they may become stunted. Older lower leaves may turn purple or dark green, leading to reduced yields.
Since the nitrogen in DAP fertilizer is in the ammonium (NH₄) form, it is not easily leached from the soil by rainfall. Additionally, its high water-soluble phosphorus content ensures efficient nutrient uptake by plants.
